Hi! I’m Katayla Mongold, the creator and owner of Knits and Num Nums. I learned to knit when I was 6 years old simply because I saw a woman at the airport knitting and decided in that moment that I wanted to do the same. After weeks of asking my parents to teach me, I was signed up to take some local knitting classes and haven’t stopped learning since.

It remained a hobby throughout high school and college, but I realized that I wanted to put some peace and good into the world doing what I love: making a place of comfort through craft and food. I specifically wanted to be able to share the Hope Blossoms since they are a tangible representation of hope and stress relief. This desire ultimately led to wanting to start a craft boutique and what could go better with stress relief crafts than some sweet treats!

So now we’re here, with the boutique and bakery: Knits and Num Nums, a place of comfort and acceptance!
